NPE 2000

SPIA successfully led a mission to the NPE 2000 in Chicago, America from 18 to 24 June 2000.  The largest plastic show in America, the NPE 2000 was staged at McCormick Place Exhibition Centre in Chicago.  A triennial event, the NPE 2000 was the 23^rd NPE since 1946.  More than 2,000 exhibiting companies participated in the exhibition occupying about 310,000 m² of net exhibit area.  The 5-day exhibition saw more than 85,000 visitors from 100 countries.

During the trip, the SPIA delegation held a meeting with Mr. Donald Duncan, President of the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc., the organiser of the NPE show.  SPIA also arranged a plant tour for the delegation.  It was certainly a fruitful and worthwhile experience for the SPIA members.
